As a licensed
professional counselor, I have helped individuals and couples heal, solve
problems and improve their relationships and their lives. My commitment to
my clients has translated to a private practice that has been built largely
by word of mouth.
Most of my individual clients have common health and wellness issues
related to depression, mood/anxiety and illness as well as stress
management, women’s issues, sexual abuse and addictions. I employ an
integral, holistic approach, mindful of each aspect of the individual,
including mind, body, spirit and emotions. Blending western psychotherapy
with eastern philosophy and wisdom, I work with clients collaboratively to
achieve goals, growth and the healing they seek.
As a couples’ therapist, I provide expert counseling for couples who
are highly motivated to save, improve and or rebuild their relationships. I
work in a collaborative manner to improve skills, enhance intimacy and help
couples achieve lasting results.
In addition to my private practice, I consult with various organizations,
including non-profits, private companies and universities. I also work with
cancer survivors and their families in hospital settings. I facilitate
mindfulness training, creative journal writing and support groups. Over the
past decade, I have presented to numerous companies and higher education
clients as a keynote speaker.
I earned my Masters Degree from Georgia State University. I am also a National
Certified Counselor (NCC). I look forward to speaking with you directly and
learning more about your needs.

Over the past 26 years, I have counseled and coached individuals, couples
and executives. My goal is to help solve the issues that are keeping
clients from attaining their life and relationship aspirations. I am
dedicated to providing the highest level of care possible to clients. My
dedication to results has translated to a practice that has been built
largely by word of mouth.
For individuals, I specialize in anxiety, depression, and stress. I also
have considerable success helping clients with career issues, grief,
trauma, sexual abuse and addictions. I draw from extensive training in each
field as well as a variety of proven models, techniques and experience to
help clients make rapid progress.
As a couples coach, I
use proven models gleaned from respected practitioners Harville Hendrix,
John Gottman as well as family systems pioneers Virginia Satir, Jay Haley
and Salvador Minuchin. Couples report rapid progress due to my strategies
and custom approach. My caring commitment to clients as a couple and as
individuals supports a collaborative rewarding experience.
I began my career as a clinical counselor in hospitals and treatment
programs. I then spent many years as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Manager and corporate leadership coach and consultant to universities and
other organizations. I have a passion for helping clients achieve progress
in overcoming barriers to their happiness and success.
In addition to my
private practice, I work with employees, patients and their families at
several Atlanta hospitals and universities.
My work includes facilitating humor workshops, stress management seminars
and support groups for cancer patients. Additionally, I coach managers and
conduct mediations.
I have a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Georgia and a Masters, M.Ed. in
Counseling from Georgia State University. I am a Certified Employee
Assistance Professional (CEAP). I am a member of the International Coach
Federation (ICF) as well as the Employee Assistance Professionals’
Association (EAPA).
